About Me

Sawasdee krub! I’m Khem.

Hello! I’m Khem (เข้ม). If you live in Thailand, you know that the “7-Eleven chime” is the unofficial soundtrack of our daily lives. Whether it’s a 2:00 AM toastie run or a quick stop for a cold drink in the midday heat, the “Seven” is our second home.

I started 711ThaiSnacks.com because I realized that behind every sliding glass door, there is a world of unique, weird, and wonderful products that deserve a real, honest review.

Why I Do This

I live in Chiang Mai, and I spend a lot of my time exploring the shelves of local convenience stores. For me, 7-Eleven isn’t just a store—it’s a massive collection of Thai flavors, innovation, and sometimes, very strange surprises. I wanted to create a place where both locals and travelers could find out what’s actually worth their Baht.

My “Sharp” Rating System

I don’t give out high scores easily. I like to be critical because I love a good product. When you see a rating on this blog, here is what it means to me:

  • 4.0+: Masterpiece level. Reserved for high-quality craft products or life-changing snacks.
  • 3.0 – 3.5: The “Solid Choice.” A high-quality industrial product that I would buy again.
  • 2.0 – 2.9: Average. It gets the job done, but it has flaws or is too unbalanced.
  • 1.0 – 1.9: Avoid. I probably didn’t finish the bag.

I’m glad you’re here to join me on this flavorful journey through Thailand’s favorite convenience store. Grab a cold drink, pull up a chair, and let’s see what’s on the shelves today!
